International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) President Sarah Degnan Kambou and Asia Regional Office Director Ravi Verma will discuss ICRW research studies that focus on economically empowering women during a roundtable titled “Women’s Economic Empowerment: The Intersection of Power and Agency and Economic Advancement,” hosted by Her Royal Highness Princess Mathilde of Belgium on May 30 in Brussels.
Princess Mathilde, an honorary member of the ICRW
Leadership Council, invited Kambou and Verma to lead the roundtable discussion among a select group of attendees who work on issues related to global development, women’s rights and gender equality.
“We are delighted to bring to Brussels ICRW’s expertise on what approaches work to empower women so they may reach their full potential and progress economically,” Princess Mathilde said.
Kambou and Verma will highlight ICRW research programs in India and Ethiopia that aim to cultivate women’s and girls’ capacity to make healthy decisions for their lives and to become economically strong.
“Ravi Verma and I very much look forward in participating in this important event and showcasing ICRW’s compelling research efforts around women’s economic empowerment,” Kambou said.
