Rana Chakrabortty (he/him) has worked as a program and research associate for the last 3 years in ICRW. He is based in Godda, Jharkhand. Currently, he is working on a project called “GEMS” (Gender Equity Movement in School). Rana coordinates the program implementation’s district /block level lesioning, monitoring, and documentation aspects. He provides need-based support to all level stakeholders of schools as well as support staffs in Godda. In his 6 years of professional experience, he has worked with adolescents towards their quality education, empowerment, child rights protection, and SRHR issues.
Prior to joining ICRW, Rana worked at CINI (Child In Need Institute) in Jharkhand and West Bengal on implementing an adolescent empowerment program under NHM (National Health Mission, Jharkhand Govt.) and supporting the government run primary schools to provide age-appropriate quality education under SSM (Sarba Shiksha Mission, West Bengal Govt.) Rana’s other work was in Rural Development Association (RDA), working on food and income security of the economically disadvantaged communities and protection of Child Rights in the West Midnapore district of West Bengal.
