Pratima Mirdha (she/her) joined ICRW in November 2024 as a Field Facilitator under the Manthan project. In this role, she works directly with rural communities to facilitate dialogues and activities with men, women, youth, and community leaders aimed at challenging deep-rooted gender norms, promoting equality, and preventing harmful practices such as child marriage. She collaborates closely with Village Champions, youth groups, men’s collectives, and other local stakeholders to strengthen community-led initiatives and create safer, more equitable environments for girls and women.

Before taking on this position, Pratima served as a Junior Field Facilitator with ICRW from May 2024 in a consultancy capacity, contributing to field mobilization, data collection, and community engagement. She previously worked with the Badlao Foundation in Jamtara, Jharkhand, as a Community Social Worker, where she focused on preventing child marriage, child trafficking, and child sexual abuse. In that role, she acted as a community motivator, raising awareness, connecting survivors to essential support services, and mobilizing local action to address these pressing issues.

She brings to her work a deep commitment to social change, a nuanced understanding of local contexts, and strong experience in grassroots mobilization. Her approach reflects a belief in the power of knowledge, participation, and sustained dialogue to drive meaningful, lasting transformation in communities.
