Pooja Gupta (she/her) is Assistant Director, Communications at ICRW Asia. Prior to joining ICRW Asia, she worked as the Communications Director for the Lancet Citizens’ Commission at the Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute at Harvard University. She led, managed, and implemented the advocacy strategy for the Commission in India and the other priority geographies.

Prior to that, she worked as the Communications Officer at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR), one of India’s oldest think tanks known for its in-depth research work across sectors. At the Centre, she focused on communicating evidence and ideas, policy engagement, and behaviour change through creative narratives and strategic storytelling. Further, she deployed comprehensive, actionable communication strategies, both online and offline, and built and maintained a credible network with key stakeholders in the WASH community.

In the past, she has worked with Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Defense Research Development Organisation (DRDO), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), TATA Trusts and Policy and Development Advisory Group. She is an alumnus of the Teach India Fellowship.
