Dr. Pam Rajput (she/her) is an Indian academic and feminist activist, known for her work on gender and development issues in India and around the world. She has been a key figure in shaping the discourse around gender equity in India and has worked to promote women’s rights and empowerment across a range of sectors.

Rajput holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Punjab and has held academic positions at a number of institutions, including Panjab University, Punjab Agricultural University, and the Indian School of Business. She has also held various advisory roles with the Indian government, including serving as a member of the National Knowledge Commission and the National Advisory Council.

Throughout her career, Rajput has been a vocal advocate for women’s rights and gender equality. She has been actively involved in a number of initiatives aimed at promoting women’s empowerment, including the United Nations Development Programme’s Gender Advisory Panel and the Global Gender and Climate Alliance. She has also worked to improve access to education and healthcare for women in India, and has been involved in efforts to strengthen women’s political representation and participation.

Rajput has received numerous awards and accolades for her contributions to the field of gender and development, including the Padma Shri, one of India’s highest civilian honors, for her work on women’s rights and empowerment. She continues to be an influential voice in the global movement for gender equity, and her work has inspired generations of activists and scholars to continue the fight for women’s rights around the world.
