Falak Raza

Falak Raza (she/her) is a Technical Specialist- Gender, Health, and Research Ethics at ICRW Asia. She is primarily involved with the Family Planning Monitoring, Learning and Evaluation (FP-MLE) team. Her current work is focused on understanding key influencers’ role in enhancing contraceptive uptake in India. She is also engaged in Health Policy Analysis to determine the factors that contribute to the formulation of gender-responsive health policies. Her key skills include qualitative research and analysis; monitoring, learning, and evaluation; field monitoring and training; and developing knowledge products.
Falak is also responsible for coordinating and implementing ICRW’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies at the Asia Regional Office. In this role, she provides guidance across project teams and manages submissions to in-country IRBs for ethical approval.
Falak has a background in gender and development, health, and economics. She has published articles and presented papers on research excellence, health and nutrition, and the role of frontline health workers in shaping demand towards contraceptives. Before joining ICRW, Falak worked on research projects on education, maternal and child health, marginalization, and social inclusion.
