President Geeta Rao Gupta presents the findings of a landmark 10-year program to understand women’s vulnerability to HIV in a plenary address delivered by at the 13th International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa, “Gender, Sexuality, and HIV/AIDS: the What, the Why, and the How.” This speech (and resulting journal article) provided the HIV/AIDS community with a framework for shaping and the gender-responsiveness of AIDS programming.
