IREX Takamol Gender Research Consortium

ICRW has partnered with IREX to provide technical assistance and capacity building to the Takamol Gender Research Consortium in Jordan.  The main objectives of ICRW’s engagement in this program are to: (a) assist Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) to create an independent ethics review committee (e.g. Institutional Review Board) by providing clear guidance and tools for the development of standard operating procedures and presenting best practices, models and scope of work; (b) train research consortium members on the development of research proposals as well as identifying potential collaboration with international bodies to jointly produce peer reviewed research on gender priorities in Jordan; and (c) provide group training to research consortium members on gender-sensitive research methods and establishing minimum standards of safety and ethics for conducting research on sensitive topics.
