ICRW Asia announces a significant leadership transition as Ravi Verma steps down from his role as Executive Director after nearly two decades of distinguished leadership and transformative contributions to advancing gender justice, health equity, and inclusive development across South Asia.

Over the years, Ravi has been instrumental in shaping ICRW Asia’s evolution as a leading evidence-driven institution at the forefront of critical discourse and action on gender transformative approaches, masculinities, adolescent empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights, women’s economic agency, unpaid care economies, gender-based violence prevention, and equitable health systems.

Ravi Verma

Under his stewardship, ICRW Asia substantially deepened its intellectual, programmatic, and institutional engagement with governments, multilateral institutions, philanthropic organizations, academia, and civil society across the region. His ability to bridge rigorous research with policy praxis has contributed meaningfully to regional and global deliberations on gender equality, social inclusion, and rights-based development frameworks.

Beyond institutional expansion, Ravi cultivated a culture of interdisciplinary collaboration, critical inquiry, and strategic innovation within the organization. His leadership consistently foregrounded feminist and community-centered perspectives while reinforcing ICRW Asia’s standing as a credible and influential knowledge partner in South Asia and globally.

We extend our profound gratitude to Ravi for his visionary stewardship, unwavering commitment, and invaluable contributions to ICRW Asia’s mission and institutional trajectory. Ravi will continue to remain associated with ICRW Asia as a Board Member and continue to provide guidance in advancing the institution’s long-standing commitment to gender equality. We wish him continued success and fulfilment in his future endeavours.

As ICRW Asia enters a new phase of institutional growth and regional engagement, we are pleased to welcome Ena Manjeet Singh as the new Executive Director of ICRW Asia.

Ena Manjeet Singh

Ena is a distinguished leader in gender and social development with extensive experience in policy, programming, and rights-based advocacy across South Asia and beyond, consistently translating evidence into meaningful social impact. Across diverse leadership roles, she has engaged extensively with governments, civil society organizations, youth networks, and multilateral institutions, contributing meaningfully to policy discourse, programmatic leadership, and strategic collaborations advancing gender justice, social equity, and inclusive development.

Under her leadership, ICRW Asia will continue to strengthen its commitment to generating rigorous evidence, shaping policy discourse, amplifying historically underrepresented voices, and advancing transformative and sustainable pathways toward gender equality and social justice across South Asia.

We remain deeply grateful to our partners, collaborators, supporters, and stakeholders for their continued trust and engagement, and look forward to collectively advancing this next chapter of ICRW Asia’s journey.

Please join us in expressing our sincere appreciation to Ravi Verma and in warmly welcoming Ena Manjeet Singh to ICRW Asia.
