VOA Interview with ICRW’s Suzanne Petroni on Adolescent Health
ICRW’s Suzanne Petroni speaks to Voice of America about how suicide is now the leading cause of death for girls ages 15 to 19 around the world. In India, death rates due to suicide are among the highest in the world and the prevalence of depression in adolescents has increased in the past several decades. Petroni stresses that better data is needed to understand what the drivers are for self-harm among adolescent girls.
