Over the past few years, she has worked with a range of organisations in the development sector, including the Centre for Budget and Policy Studies (CBPS), Janaagraha, and ICICI Foundation. Through these experiences, she has developed strong skills in primary and secondary research, stakeholder engagement, and project implementation.

Her work focuses on gender equity, urban governance, and sustainability, with an emphasis on participatory and action-oriented research. For her Master’s thesis, Nashwa explored the implementation of the Forest Rights Act in Nilambur, Kerala, examining questions of land and forest rights among Adivasi communities. She is passionate about research that is grounded in lived experiences and contributes to meaningful social change.
