SHARE

The International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) implemented a project that aimed to advance knowledge and the evidence-base on what works to end VAC in East Africa (Uganda and Tanzania) by strengthening organizations’ capacities to monitor, evaluate, and disseminate findings from their programs.  The outcomes from this project informed policy and programming in the region. This project involved two clusters of organizations: one in Zanzibar (Pathfinder, Action Aid Tanzania, and C-Sema) and another in Uganda, Bantwana Initiative Uganda.  Capacity strengthening requirements were jointly agreed upon with each organization. ICRW facilitated learning and knowledge sharing and knowledge translation between partners.  ICRW also carried out evaluation of the VAC prevention interventions implemented by the partners.
