ICRW has joined the RaiseForWomen Challenge to inspire action around our Turning Point Campaign which seeks to help give adolescent girls everywhere a chance to grow into healthy, empowered women, to choose whom and when to marry, and to postpone motherhood until they are adults.

The Huffington Post, in partnership with CrowdRise, Skoll Foundation and Half the Sky Movement, has launched the RaiseForWomen Challenge to help nonprofit organizations focusing on women gain recognition and resources to strengthen their efforts in improving the lives of women and girls worldwide. They will be giving away $75,000 in prizes to organizations that participate in the challenge.

Using the CrowdRise platform, nonprofits will compete with each other to raise funds for their cause. The organization that raises the most by June 6 will receive a portion of the prize money, donated by the Skoll Foundation: $25,000 for first place, $15,000 for second place, $10,000 for third place. An additional $25,000 will be given to charities and/or organizations in weekly increments throughout the campaign as part of RaiseForWomen’s “bonus challenges.”

ICRW needs your help to win! You can help improve the lives of women and girls around the world by visiting our CrowdRise page and making a gift today. The challenge sponsors will contribute prizes during the challenge for donors like you to win as well! You can also help us spread the word about the importance of investing in adolescent girls by using the hashtags #TurningPoint, and #RaiseForWomen. Together we can help change the course of their lives for the better.

Now through June 6, ICRW blogs will also feature on the Huffington Post site. Check out the most recent blog posts on preventing child marriage: “Beyond the Classroom” by Jeff Edmeades, and “Breaking the Cycle of Child Marriage in India” by Jennifer Abrahamson.

Join us in changing the course for adolescent girls. Every donation makes a difference, no matter how small it may seem! Join the challenge today!
