About the Event
Women literally make up the backbone of health systems around the world. From community health workers and nurses to supervisors and administrators, women keep public health systems running. Yet their work is often underpaid, insecure, and treated as โnatural caregivingโ rather than skilled labor.
This conversation asks a simple but urgent question:
Join us for a dialogue hosted by International Center for Research on Women (ICRW) Asiaย and Women in Global Health India, that brings together perspectives fromย health institutions, leadership building programs,ย media, and labor movementsย to explore how we can move from work to worth.
Together we will discuss:
- Why women remain under-represented in leadership
- How gender intersects with other identities to shape power in health systems
- The role of media and advocacy in changing narratives
How organizing and labor rights can transform health systems
