Nair Carrasco Sanez, Rosa Maria Door de Ubillas, Irma Salvatierra Guillen, Sebastiao Mendonca Ferreira
1998
Working with partners in Ethiopia, Kenya, Peru, Tanzania, and Thailand, ICRW undertook a series of studies to explore how to increase intake of iron, vitamin A and iodine by combining women's productive and reproductive roles. This report summarizes the findings from the intervention research project implemented by the Center for the Study and Promotion of Nutrition (CEPREN) in Peru. The study was designed to engage women members of community kitchens in the design, implementation, and evaluation of a trial intervention to reduce iron deficiency among women of reproductive age.
