Veronica Alvarez is a Senior Analyst for the ICRW Advisors team, based in Washington, DC. She is responsible for conducting research and analysis, writing, preparing deliverables, and providing other support to Advisors’ clients and the Advisors team. Her current role at ICRW includes delivering consulting services for projects through collecting, managing and analyzing information / data to meet client needs for diagnostic research, program or policy evaluation, landscape reviews, and synthesis of knowledge to inform action.
Prior to joining ICRW, Veronica worked at IDB Invest, the private sector arm of the IDB Group. She focused on identifying and evaluating gender risk in private sector development projects in Latin America and the Caribbean, in industries ranging from infrastructure and transportation to energy and agriculture. She fostered a deep understanding in the importance of identifying social risks in the early stages of a project to mitigate or avoid negative effects and strengthen opportunities for vulnerable populations. Veronica also has experience in corporate diversity and inclusion and gender mainstreaming.
