Teddy Nambaziira is a Research Officer based out of the ICRW-Africa office based in Kampala, Uganda.
Prior to joining ICRW, Teddy worked at Search for Common Ground, supporting the Enabling Effective and Conflict-Sensitive Response to Covid-19 to Preserve Social Cohesion in Fragile Contexts in Africa’ where she conducted conflict snapshot surveys whose findings supported interventions aimed at social cohesion. As a key researcher, she supported the research on issues, beliefs and experience of child marriage and gender-based violence in Uganda, by None in Three, Makerere University. Teddy led research on promotion of digital rights for children, a comparative study of Norway and Uganda.
Teddy was an Erasmus Mundus scholar in Norway, Portugal and Sweden in 2021 to 2023, during which she worked for International Telecommunications Union in Geneva under the Child Online Protection program aimed at promoting child online safety, bridging the digital divide among children and promotion of digital rights.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Teddy has a deep appreciation for nature, as evidenced by her hiking adventures, including an impressive trek to Preikestolen in Norway. She is an advocate for animal welfare and environmental conservation, she supports tree-planting initiatives for better animal habitats.
