Shweta Bankar is a Technical Specialist at ICRW. She provides support in research, evaluation, intervention and other programme management aspects to projects on gender equality, reproductive health, gender based violence and women’s economic empowerment. This involves initial development of the project and providing technical support to the partner organization in the field, carrying out orientation meetings with key leaders, providing support for recruitment, facilitating, monitoring and evaluation and implementing the program.
Her academic training in clinical psychology and counseling prepared her with a better understanding of qualitative interviewing and analysis. Having worked closely with low economic settlements in her tenure as a student and a professional, she understands the dynamics of working in urban slums. Shweta’s work as a school counselor for two years provided her with an opportunity to work with adolescents and understand more specifically the gender dynamics of adolescent girls and boys.
Shweta is skilled in research using qualitative tools, carrying out Participatory Learning Activities in the community and analyzing qualitative data using Atlas Ti.
