Shanzae Sarwar is a policy assistant based out of the ICRW-US office. She provides administrative support to the policy and advocacy team and the coalitions that ICRW chairs or co-chairs, including the Coalition for Women’s Economic Empowerment and Equality (CWEEE), the Feminist Foreign Policy Coalition, and Girls Not Brides USA Coalition.

Prior to joining ICRW, Shanzae worked as a client services associate at Fidelity Investments. In the years prior, Shanzae was involved in various social justice projects at Gettysburg College. She was a recipient of the $10,000 Davis Project for Peace summer grant and collaborated with a nonprofit organization in Pakistan to buy computer equipment for underprivileged students. While at Gettysburg College, Shanzae also attended the Oxford Consortium for Human Rights workshop hosted by the University of Oxford and participated in discussions related to racial justice, minority rights, and religious freedom.
