Louise Erskine

Associate, Office of the President

Louise Erskine is the Associate, Office of the President based out of the ICRW-US office where she assists Peggy Clark, supporting the President’s operational, communications and external relations needs. For the past several years, Louise has managed operations, communications, and policy for elected officials across Canada especially related to food systems and gender equity. Her current work at ICRW includes providing communications expertise to the President, liaising with key partners, board members and donors, and serving as the President’s administrative support. She has worked throughout Canada, the United States and Tanzania.

Prior to joining ICRW, Louise worked as a political and strategic advisor to multiple Canadian politicians including Alberta’s Minister of Agriculture and Forestry. Most recently she collaborated with Women Forward International, Sustainable Food Trust and Cornell University to author a report published by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research called “More than Soil, Seeds, and Water: True Cost Accounting and an Intersectional Sustainability Index for Gender Equity and Racial Justice.”

Education: Louise holds a Master’s of Professional Studies in Global Development (International Agriculture and Rural Development) from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Agriculture from the University of Alberta.
