Kakoli Borkotoky joined ICRW Asia in September 2018 as a Technical Specialist. She provides technical support with studies focused on Family Planning and WASH, and across research teams with respect to developing monitoring tools, supervising data collection and conducting project evaluation.
Kakoli has over seven years of experience in working with large-scale survey data, specifically in the areas of nutrition and child health, water and sanitation, education of women and children, and consumer expenditure surveys. A trained demographer and statistician, she is skilled in data analysis and has contributed to conducting qualitative surveys at ICRW Asia.
Prior to joining ICRW, Kakoli worked at the Population Council’s India office, where she managed the Comprehensive National Nutrition Survey (CNNS), one of the largest nutrition surveys conducted in India, across eight states in the country. She also contributed to preparing survey tools; state-level training for field investigators; monitoring data collection for each state; and sharing feedback with the quality assurance teams. Apart from managing field activities, Kakoli was also involved in data curation and analysis. She served as the point person for analysis of anthropometric data for all states.
