Allie Glinski is Associate Director with ICRW Advisors. She has more than eight years of experience focused on women’s economic empowerment, gender and clean energy, gender lens social impact investing and social enterprise development. She advises organizations and businesses on how to integrate gender into their operations to enhance both social and business outcomes, and develops measurement systems to track these social impacts. Allie has created monitoring and evaluation systems for partners involved in clean and/or efficient cookstove sales, treadle pump distribution, sports for development, jewelry sales, and violence against women programming. She has managed multi-country research processes and programs and has conducted in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, participatory assessment activities, and key informant interviews in many countries in Africa, the Middle East, South America, and South Asia.
She has also conducted research on a series of population and development related topics including child marriage, women’s demand for contraception, adolescent family planning and sexual and reproductive health, and the links between adolescent girls’ education and successful transitions to adulthood.
Allie is passionate about applying sustainable business approaches to solve social development problems; specifically, she seeks innovative solutions that economically empower women to bolster community economic development. She holds an MA in international development with a concentration in global health from the George Washington University and a BA in English and psychology from the University of Michigan.
