Human Resources Intern

This is an approximately 3-6 month unpaid internship working with the Senior Director, Human Resources and the Human Resources Manager. The intern will be mentored and trained in providing human resources services and assisting in the implementation of HR initiatives. These activities will include the following:

Primary Duties: 

Affirmative Action/Compliance
Gathering and tracking data and Affirmative Action employment information from candidates and current employees.  Work closely with the HR Manager in organizing information and assisting with the preparation of our annual reporting package.

Training and Development
Designing and conducting training programs for the DC, India and Kenya offices.

Surveys
Participating in and providing input to compensation and benefit surveys.

Employee Relations
Planning and participating in activities that help to foster employee morale.

Recruitment
Working on job postings, sorting and reviewing applicants, and setting-up and participating in the interview process.

Files/Record Retention
Working on personnel and benefits file management, ensuring best practices are adhered to.

Required Skills: 

A bachelor or graduate candidate with coursework and an interest in business, human resources or related field.
