Week of Action against Child Marriage
During ICRW's Week of Action (Feb. 25-29), we encourage you to raise your voice against the widespread practice of child marriage that takes place in many of the world's poorest countries.
This week is your chance to take a stand against the violence, denial of education and health risks that child brides face. This is your chance to stand up for the human rights of girls around the world.
Get Involved
There are several ways that you can accomplish this. We've listed a few tried-and-true methods of effecting change:
Call Your Member of Congress
Encourage him/her to endorse child marriage legislation. This is especially important if your member of Congress appears in the top layers of the Congressional target list.

Encourage Your Friends and Family to do the Same!
Remember, you are a powerful voice that can effect change. Just a 5-minute phone call to your member of Congress can make a difference.
