The revised edition (August 2007) builds on the original toolkit and includes new modules to address stigma as it relates to treatment, children and youth, and men who have sex with men. 

The toolkit is used by community and NGOs throughout the developing world to facilitate discussion about the rights of positive persons and issues of gender, sexuality and morality.

The toolkit was published with the Academy for Educational Development and the International HIV/AIDS Alliance.

Challenges of Reducing HIV-Related Stigma in Targeted Interventions for India: A Call to Action

ICRW, with Engender Health is organizing a half-day seminar, “Challenges of Reducing HIV-Related Stigma in the Targeted Interventions Context in India: A Call to Action.” The half-day meeting will focus on how HIV-related stigma and discrimination and gender and sexuality intersect and influence each other in the context of targeted interventions for HIV and AIDS in India.

Where: India Habitat Center
New Delhi

The event will serve as a platform to share experiences in reducing HIV-related stigma and discrimination with different populations and in diverse settings. The outcome of the meeting will culminate in a Call-to-Action statement that will include recommendations from the participants to address stigma and gender-based violence, targeted interventions, innovative research and program models, and creating and strengthening partnerships between communities, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), government and donors in India.
