Anju Malhotra
Vice President, Social and Economic Development
Anju Malhotra, Ph.D., oversees the Social and Economic Development group at ICRW and serves as director of the Population and Social Transitions team. In this capacity, she leads ICRW’s work on social, economic and demographic issues, particularly in the areas of women’s empowerment, adolescence, reproductive health and rights, migration, and program evaluation.
Malhotra holds a Ph.D. in sociology and demography from the University of Michigan and has contributed to the field through numerous published articles, workshops, trainings and representations on review committees. Before joining ICRW in 1998, she was an assistant professor at the University of Maryland and a National Institutes of Health fellow at the University of North Carolina.
