WOMEN AND AGRICULTURE

Women in Agriculture - Women Farmers - photo ICRWTo reduce poverty and hunger, strategies to improve agricultural development must see women as agents of economic change in their key roles as farmers, entrepreneurs and wage laborers. Women farmers face limited access to the key productive resources and opportunities that could enable their shift to more profitable farming.

Investments in women farmers will enhance agricultural productivity, reduce poverty and hunger, and reap multiple dividends for families, communities and countries.
